Percentage Split (1099)
Artists currently working at a 50/50 split operate as independent 1099 contractors within a full-service studio structure. This option is designed for artists who want a fully supported environment in which the shop handles most operational needs. Commission starts at 50/50. After 1 year of consistently showing up, maintaining strong work standards, and being a dependable part of the shop, the split increases to 60/40. The raise reflects long-term commitment and growth within the studio. This is a FULL-TIME ONLY position.  

What Phoenix Tattoo Provides
FULL Front desk reception and client communication.
  • Booking and scheduling support
  • Centralized Point of Sale payment processing
  • Placement into the shop’s walk-in rotation for same-day and availability-based clients
  • Full access to the reception team for daily support, including client communication, availability posts, stories, video content, and in-studio promotional updates, and branding
    • Including Marketing exposure and social media support through the shop
    • ALL Utilities and shared operational expenses 
  • All general shop supplies, including:
    • Gloves
    • Paper towels
    • Lap cloths/bed sheets
    • Machine wraps, barriers, sanitation products (i.e. Green Soap, Cavicide, Isopropyl Alcohol)
    • Tongue depressors
    • plastic baggies/bottle bags/plastic wrap, 
    • Stencil Paper & Stencil Machine
    • Cavicide, Green Soap, Distilled Water, and ALL sanitization and cleaning supplies
    • A&D
    • Razors
    • SHARPS containers and disposal
    • and other daily-use materials required for safe and professional operation
  • Access to autoclave and ultrasonic
    • Includes proper sanitation bags for tubes
Professional studio environment and branding
  • Private room working space equipped with a 
    • Includes client chair and artist toolbox.
    • Television and speaker surround sound in each room.
    • Freedom to personalize and decorate your space to reflect your style
Please note: painting, structural changes, or permanent alterations to walls or fixtures are not permitted.

 What Is Not Supplied by the Shop 
  • Tattoo machines
  • Tattoo needles
  • Tattoo inks
  • Tattoo tubes
These items remain artist-specific due to individual preference, setup, and working style.

Artist Responsibilities
  • Artists provide their own machines, needles, and inks
  • ALL artists must adhere to the shop minimum, $100.
  • Artists maintain professional standards with colleagues and clients.
